Parts of speech are the fundamental building blocks of a language, and they help to determine the function of words within sentences. There are 8 parts of speech in English and They are given as below as follows:

  3. VERB: A word that expresses an action, occurance, or state of being.
    • Ex: run, eat, sleep, walk, become
  4. ADJECTIVE: A word that modifies or describes a noun or pronoun by specifying its qualities or attributes.
    • Ex: beautiful, tall, blue, delicious
  5. ADVERB: A word that modifies or describes a verb, a adjective, or another adverb, providing information about manner, time, place, degree, etc.
    • Ex: quickly, carefully, often, here
  6. PREPOSITION: A word that indicates the relationship between its object(usually a noun or pronoun) and another words in a sentence, expressing location, direction, time, or manner.
    • Ex: in, on, at, under, between
  7. CONJUCTION: A word that connects sentence indicating relation ship such as addiction, contrast, cause and effecct, or condition.
    • Ex: and, but, or, so, and because
  8. INTERJECTION: A word or phrase used to express emotions, feelings, or reactionsoften occur independently as a standalone expressions.
    • Ex:wow, ouch, oh, hey
